One Contiguous Hazard Interval per Occupied Row

The board has four rows and four columns. Choose three, four or five total hazards before starting. In every occupied row, all hazards form a single contiguous horizontal interval without a gap. Empty rows are allowed. The legal layout counts are respectively 408, 986 and 1704. Each legal full layout is uniformly selected once and stays fixed for the round; later reveals do not redraw it.

Exact Conditional Safe Probabilities

After a safe reveal, consider only legal layouts consistent with all revealed safe cells. A cell’s safe probability is the fraction of those remaining layouts where it is safe. For the first reveal the current gross value begins at 0.97 times captured stake. Each subsequent safe reveal divides the CURRENT gross value by that cell’s exact conditional safe probability. It does not restart from 0.97 times stake on every step.

Collection and Known Cells

A hazard immediately ends the round with zero credit. After at least one safe reveal, collection settles the current gross value. A proven-safe cell has probability one and adds no multiplier; a proven hazard has probability zero and cannot be selected. An individual uncertain choice is disabled if its resulting gross multiplier would exceed 1000 times captured stake. Exactly 1000 is permitted. This restriction does not disable collection. Automatic banking occurs only when no eligible uncertain choice remains.

Expected Credit Is Not a Guaranteed Result

Every permitted stopping policy has exact unrounded expected gross credit of 97% of captured stake. This is neither winning frequency nor a session promise. Conditional layout information changes which choices are available and their quoted probabilities; it does not increase that expected return. The formula already includes the 0.97 factor and takes no second 3% deduction.

Saved Wallet and Optional Refill

The wallet begins with 1000 free virtual coins. Settled wallet and fractional-credit carry persist in browser localStorage. While idle with fewer than ten coins, manual refill sets the balance to 1000 and preserves carry; it does not add 1000. Saved debited wallet and carry survive reload, but an unfinished round is not recovered or refunded. A different browser profile need not share saved values; there is no account synchronization or external recovery service.

Frequently asked questions

What makes a layout legal?

Each occupied row contains one contiguous horizontal hazard interval; empty rows are allowed. Total hazards are three, four or five.

How many layouts are possible?

There are respectively 408, 986 and 1704 equally likely fixed full layouts for three, four and five hazards.

How does a safe reveal change value?

Divide current gross value by the exact conditional safe probability among remaining consistent layouts. Initial value is 0.97 times captured stake.

When can I collect?

After at least one safe reveal, collect current gross value. Hitting a hazard ends the round with zero credit.

What does the 1000 limit do?

It disables individual choices whose resulting multiplier would exceed 1000. Exactly 1000 remains allowed; collection remains available.
